Storing Information About Students

Schools, universities and online training organizations often need to keep and track different types of details about their students. Such information may include:

Copies of documents like passports, previous diplomas or other scanned documents

Comments about student behavior and discipline comments

Notes of any other type and nature

…in other words - information gathered throughout the course of the education, which forms a kind of a complete student dossier.

Electa LMS provides functionality for keeping various types of records and information about your students.

The Student Records menu can be accessed from the Student Management section of your Electa LMS account.

Types of Access

Users with administrative access can browse the records of all registered students.

Users with lower level of access can have access only to students or groups they are allowed to see as set in the respective permissions

Students can only see records related to the but only those records which are set to be visible by the respective student

Adding / Creating a New Record

To do so click the Create button, choose the student using the magnifying glass button.

Choose a type of record you are creating. The following options are available:

Conduct/Behavior

Discipline/Penalty

General Note

House Points/Award

Document

Choose who can have access to this type of record as follows:

Admins Only - such records are exclusively available to administration only. The student in question does not see such records.

Admins and the Student Only - such records are visible to administration and the student in question. The teachers of that student do not see these records

Admins and Relevant Teachers - records with this type of access are only visible to the administration and the teachers who have access to that student profiles as set in your permissions. The student cannot see such records.

Admins, Relevant Teachers and the Student - Similar to the above but records with this access type are visible also to the student.

Type the information in the text filed describing the matter of this record

Attach a file optionally. Every record can have one single file attached to it. To attach multiple files you need to create multiple records.

Finally click Apply to save the record.

A system notification message may be sent to the student to notify them of a record being created for them only if the access type involves the student in question.

Customization of the student profiles

With Electa LMS you can customize the structure of your student profiles. In other words, you can extend the information you want to keep for each student beyond the standard set of fields.

Every training organization needs to hold different data for their students, thus it is difficult to fit into a standard set of fields all different kinds of organizations. For instance - universities may want to keep extra data as previous degree or university ID etc... while schools may need parental details or other specific things like allergies etc, etc...

Having in mind the large variety of data that needs to be collected we have created a unique feature which allows administration to customize the information kept for each student by creating an unlimited set of items to keep for each student.

Customize Your Students Database

Click on Account Settings > Look & Feel

Scroll down to find the Define Custom Fields button and click on it.

This will bring up the customization form:

There are three types of data in the above: Default Fields - shows the minimum set of information needed for a student. Additional Required Details - a set of extra fields you can choose from to enable for each student. User Defined Fields - a place where you can define any number of extra pieces of information you would need for your students.

To add a new filed click the Add Field button. You can now define the new filed.

The Field Name is how you want to name this piece of information. For example - Parent/Guardian Name, Passport Number, etc... The Type drop-down shows what type of information you will keep in it - text, numbers or date.

If you would like to make the field compulsory mark the "Required" checkbox. If you would like to enable this filed in all self-registration forms (like when students register for classes or courses on their own) make sure to check the "Use in Self-Registration form" option.

Quiz statistics are information provided to you about the students’ activity on the quiz. they show participation rate, minimum points achieved, maximum points achieved and accuracy rate for each question.

Participation rate - shows how many of the users have provided an answer for the specific question

Minimum points achieved - provides you with the minimum amount of points a user has achieved on the individual question.

Maximum points achieved - provides you with the maximum amount of points a user has achieved on the individual question.

Accuracy rate - gives you an overall achievement rate of how many points the students have achieved all together in comparison to what the overall rate could have been out of 100. For example if a question is worth 5 marks and 3 students have completed the question with full marks, the accuracy rate would be 15/15 (100%).

How to view quiz statistics

Once you have opened your assignments, homework and quizzes area, you can either click onto the red settings button next to the quiz > view stats

or you can click onto the quiz itself and from there scroll down to find the “view stats” button.

It is where you can store any questions that you may wish to use for any of your quizzes. The questions residing in the question bank can be reused as many times as you wish as they are permanently saved. Questions within the question bank can also be grouped based on any criteria that best suits you (e.g. a history group where you can add any history questions).

How To Add Questions To The Quiz Bank

Click onto Resources > Quiz Question Bank > Create.

Questions created specifically for the question bank have the same attributes as regular quiz questions. They are created and saved in the same way, apart from the option here which allows you to assign the newly created question to a specific question group. When creating the question, you can select which group the question should automatically be added to.

Grouping Questions

Questions residing in the quiz bank can be grouped based on their topic or any other criteria. This allows for easy organization as you can choose which question belongs in which group.

     How to create groups:

     Click onto the "Add New Group" button on the right-hand side of the screen.
    Groups consist of an Id and a name by which you can find the group later.

Adding Questions From Existent Quizzes

Questions from already created quizzes can also be added to the question bank.
To do so click onto Resources > Assignments, Homework & Quizzes and then onto the red settings button next to the quiz which you would like to take the specific question from.

Select “manage quiz questions”
Once the quiz questions have loaded click onto the corresponding red button next to whichever question you would like to add to the bank and click onto “Add To Question Bank”.

This will take you to a pop up screen which allows you to choose which group to add the question to.

Permissions
You can set permissions as to who can access which question bank group as for example a mathematics teacher would not need access to any biology questions.
To set access permissions click onto the small blue icon next to whichever group you would like to set permissions for.

Available to all teachers - when this option is selected, it allows all teachers to have access to the specific group.

If only specific teachers should have access to this group, unselect the available to all option. This would provide you with the option to select one (or multiple) teachers to access the questions.

User Groups Permissions

Similarly students studying science may not need access to the art quizzes. Therefore you can also set user group permissions.
Click onto the blue “Add User Group” button and select the appropriate user group. To create user profiles and user groups follow this tutorial: Setup and Manage Student Profiles

This is an event that is held at a physical location.
When a physical event is set, it appears in your students’ calendars the way an online event would, but instead of an option to join the live online session, it provides them with information about the event and its physical address of location.

Scheduling Real Events and Classes

To schedule a real events clicking onto Live classes > New live class.

Follow the steps you would when creating a normal online class. (Schedule live classes and invite people by email (Video Tutorial) (e-lecta.com))
Once you need to select the location of the event click External Location.

This allows you to provide a physical address of where the event will be held. This can be a classroom in a school or a completely different external location such as a sports hall or theater.

Cancelation of live classes is click easy. To cancel a live class click onto the live class button, then click onto the red settings button next to the live class you would like to cancel > delete live class.

Types of cancelation

There are different types of cancelation.

Apply to all events – In case of a live event that is reoccurring weekly, monthly or yearly this option allows complete cancellation. This option cancels all reoccurring live classes under this series of events.

Just this one- This option cancels single timed lessons. For example you are feeling unwell on the date of the event. If your class is reoccurring, this would allow to cancel only that one specific event in the series.

By choosing the “do not delete the event” option you don’t delete the event itself. It is simply canceled and the reoccurrence of it will not be ruined.

The comment section is optional and it allows you to specify the reason for canceling the event.

Difference between completely deleting the individual event and simply canceling it.

deleted:

cancelled:

Mass Cancelation of live classes
In the case of needing to mass cancel live classes for a prolonged period of time such as a half term break click on the red settings button located above the calendar section.

Remove live classes- This similarly to the option above, does not just cancel the live classes but complete removes them for a chosen period of time. This makes the events disappear from the calendar of your students.

Cancel live class- This does not remove the live classes of the calendar but just cancels them. Similarly to the “do not delete event” option, however in this case the amount of time is stated and all events within those dates are canceled.

The comment section is again optional and allows you to explain in plain text the reason for the following cancellation to your students.

When the event has been canceled, your students will be able to see that the event has been cancelled as well as the reason for its cancellation.

To create a new online poll click on Resources > Online Polls. This will take you to the polls and surveys section.

Click the Create Poll button and fill in the information about this new poll.

New Poll Attributes

Along with the Id, Poll Title, Created by and the description you have to specify two dates/hours. Available After is the date/time after each students will be able to start working on this task. Due Date is the deadline by which students have to submit their work on this task.

Quiz Options and Attributes

Allow students to navigate over the questions - when this option is ON users are allowed to skip a question and go back and forth over the questions, instead of completing them in a strict order.

For each poll you can specify the following poll statistics options:

Do not show- when this option is selected, the poll statistics are not visible for the users completing the poll.

Show after each answer- when this is the selected choice, the user receives feedback on how many other votes there have been selected for each answer for this specific question. The statistics are shown straight after the user inputs their answer.

Show on poll completion- With this option, the user is notified on the poll statistics at the end after completing the entire set of questions.

On completion of the poll details you can select what to do next.

Student Access

The polls and surveys are standard Electa Live resources. As such, they can be added as course resources. In this case all course enrollees will have to complete the poll that belongs to their course. In this case you do not need to worry about assigning users to the quiz as they automatically get access to it through the course.

However, If you do not use courses, you have to specify the target audience of each assignment or quiz, by selecting individual students or student groups from your database. You can do so after saving the poll by clicking on Select Students.

Adding Questions

As soon as the poll is saved you will be prompted to start building the poll questions. Each poll must have at least one question. To add a question to a poll click the Add Questions button.
For each question you have to provide the following information:

The question itself. This is what students read first. For example: "Which is your favorite season?"
Additional description: This is an optional description of your question. For example: "Please do not leave any blank questions".

Answer Types
For each question you can specify how students answer. There are four different questions types you may choose from.

Select one- These are questions with only one correct answer. The students may select only one of the answers when submitting the question at completion.

Select many- These are multiple choice questions. The students can select one or more correct answers to such questions.

Order by Importance- These are questions that allow students to rank each answer by importance. For example: What are top three places you would like to visit: The Colosseum, The Eifel Tower, The Statue of Liberty. Order them by preference.

Open questions- These are questions with no predefined answers. For such questions students have to type their answer in free form which is plain text.

Attachments to Questions

For each question you can optionally upload an attachment. This can be an image or any other media or document file. Files can also be selected from the Resource Library as well. Questions with attachments are displayed like that (design mode).

Questions with Feedback

For some questions you may want to provide immediate feedback to students as soon as they submit their answer. The feedback is a short text message that appears on the student’s screen after confirming the answer. This could be a thanks message or even a hint on the answer itself.
To provide a feedback fill in the optional feedback field.

Updating Existing Polls

You can update the poll description and details or the poll questions of an existing poll. To do so open the polling area and click the red options button next to the poll. Then select Modify to change the details information or Manage Poll Questions to add, remove or update the questions.

Questions of polls that are already in progress (students have started to work on them) cannot be modified. For such polls you can only change the time frame (deadline) and some basic information. Questions of such polls cannot be edited.
Polls can be copied. To create a new poll from an existing one use the Copy Poll Option from the menu.

Negative Marking vs Positive Marking in Quizzes

Electa LMS's quizzing module supports a special "negative marking" option which examiners and trainers can turn on for each quiz. Quizzes (exams) can be marked "positively" or "negatively". Positive marking is used is when marks are awarded for correct answers, but no marks are reduced for wrong answers, while negative marking does both - awards marks for correct answers and reduces marks for wrong given answers.

The Electa LMS Quiz Module supports both positive and negative
marking for quizzes. You can choose which one to use for each of the
quizzes you create.

Positive Marking

When positive marking is enabled for a quiz (which is the default option) a student who gives a wrong answer to a quiz question gets no marks, but also no marks are reduced from the total score. This means that theoretically it is possible for students who do not know the answer to guess and if they make a wrong guess there will be no punitive mark for them.

There is another approach however which is widely used in certain educational systems meant to prevent students from guessing. This is the "negative" marking approach.

Negative  Marking

When a student gives a wrong answer to a question instead of receiving no marks a negative mark is awarded. In this scenario the student is being "punished" for guessing.

How are negative marks awarded?

This actually depends on the type of each question, as follows:

Questions with one correct answer which are of type "Select one" or True/False questions will give either the full marks in case of a correct answer or take the same number of marks in case of a wrong answer selected. If, for example a question gives 5 marks and offers three options to choose from with only one correct option will only give 5 marks if the correct option is chosen and in all other cases will take 5 marks of the total quiz score.

Questions of type “select many” (a.k.a. select all that apply) which provide several correct options and give marks only when all correct options are chosen will do so but will additionally reduce marks for each wrong answer selected. Thus, making it possible for the user to end up with a 0 or a negative mark for that question.

Questions of type “select some” which provide several correct options and normally give partial marks for each correct option chosen up to the full marks when all correct options are chosen but give no marks when a wrong option is chosen will reduce marks when an incorrect option is chosen. Such questions will give marks for each correct option chosen and will take marks for each wrong answer.

How are negative marks calculated for "Select All" and "Select Some"

Negative marks are calculated per each incorrect option selected. Each wrong answer chosen carries a negative mark equal to the total
marks the question divided by the total number of all available
incorrect answers.

For example: A question brings a total of 3 marks. It has 3 correct options and 2 incorrect options the student may choose from. Each incorrect option if selected will bring -1.5 marks (3 marks total divided by 2 incorrect options).

Click on the red options button next to the group you want to disable

Click Modify

Uncheck the option "Users from this group can log on"

Save the changes

There could be multiple reasons for you to wish to do so including: school holidays, non-technology days, times during which you need to restructure your information and time tables etc, etc...

To lock your portal for all students so that they cannot log into their profiles do as follows:

Log on as administrator

Click on Look & Feel Menu under the Account Settings

Scroll down to find the Lock Portal section

Check the option Lock the portal

Type a message in the field that will be displayed to your students when they try to logon whine the portal is locked.

Save the changes.

The portal cannot be locked for trainers and administrators. If you wish to do so for all trainers use the Group Locking option or you may have to apply individual access restrictions.

Such media content can be shared as explained in the Sharing Media Content guide.

The video format has to be mp4. Android phones and tablets save the camera footage as an mp4 video file, while iPad/iPhone devices use another format which may not be supported by other users.

This article explains how to configure an iOS device to produce mp4 video files which can be directly uploaded into Electa LMS resource library and later shared in a live classroom.

1. Open Settings

2. Select Camera

3. Select Formats

If you are experiencing one of the following issues you need to grant permissions to the Electa app on your Android phone or tablet.

Symptoms

Unable to share live video in a session

Live video button colors red but no video is shared

Unable to hear the other attendees in a live session

Unable to activate the microphone in a live session

Solution

Grant the necessary permissions to Electa on your Android device.

On your device tap Settings and scroll down to find Apps & Notifications (or just Apps).

Then scroll down to fine the Electa Live 8 app and tap on it.

Finally make sure the following options are allowed Camera, Microphone, Phone, Storage.

Checking for live class calendar conflicts

This article describes how to check for conflicts between live classes in your class calendar.

A live class in the calendar may happen to be in a conflict with one or more other live classes. Conflicts could be one or some of the following

The live class shares the same virtual classroom with another live class and overlap in time

The live class shares the same classroom with another live class without overlapping time frames but the starting/ending times are too close.

The live class attendees are engaged in other live classes at the same time.

The presenter (live class leader) is engaged in another live class at the same time.

While some of the above are easy to spot by just looking at the calendar other conflicts are difficult to detect (an example is when groups of attendees are set to attend overlapping classes).

Electa LMS provides a conflict detection tool which you can run for every class in your calendar or even at time when selecting your attendees.

For classes already in the calendar you can check for conflicts by clicking on the red options button next to the calendar entry and choose "Check for conflicts"

The following page will show any existing conflicts at the time.

The list above displays all other live classes which are conflicting with the selected live class as well as what type of conflict exists.

Attendees - means that the two live classes share common attendees. A conflict in the presenter show the class leader is engaged in the other class as well at the same time. The room column shows conflicts with classes happening at the same time in this same classroom.

Suspicious timing indicates that the times of the respective pair of classes do not overlap but they are too close to each other.

The Conflict Check tool is also available for newly scheduled classes when selecting the permitted attendees.

Users trying to upload PDF files into the Presentation Library are getting a message the following message:

An error occurred while trying to process the file. It is either not present or there is no application associated with this file. Error code 1155.

This message occurs on Windows computers who have Microsoft Edge as a default PDF viewer.

Solution 1

Install Adobe Acrobat Reader from the following link: https://get.adobe.com/reader/

Right click with your mouse on one PDF file and click Properties.

Click the Change button in the Opens with section.

Choose Adobe Acrobat Reader as a default application for PDFs.

Click OK

After the above is completed you should be able to upload PDFs from your computer to the presentation library.

Solution 2

Use the Electa Advanced Upload button on the Presentation Upload window.

After updating your iPad to iOS Safari will not launch live or recorded sessions automatically. The reason for this is Safari reports your iPad as a Mac OS computer and our website provides the application for Mac OS, instead the one designed for iOS.

Solution

To solve the issue please
follow the steps below:

1. Open Settings

2. Tap on Safari

3. Tap on Request Desktop Website

4. Make sure All Websites is NOT selected. It must be grayed out.

Then select Advanced Uploading option.

Electa will try to open the selected file with its associated
application. After the file is opened Electa Live will go in background

Click on the Print menu of your application;

With Electa LMS you may publish student registration forms as well as live class schedule and course catalogs on third part websites. This is explained in our integration related guides: http://support.e-lecta.com/Knowledgebase/Article/50103

In certain cases however you may want to be able to track where new student registrations come from as well as which third party website brings you most customers. You can do this by assigning an affiliate ID to each published form, calendar or catalog. In this case when a student registers or purchases a live event or an online course you will be able to track where this customer lead came from.

For each affiliate (or remote website) you have to create a new Affiliate item. To do so click on Account Settings > Affiliates & Tracking and create a new affiliate using the button.

Each new entry receives a unique code. This code has to be applied as a parameter to the respective HTML code that you embed. This looks lik:

AffiliateId=9wpp17chzl

Below is an example of a course calendar form with added an affiliate ID.

<!-- BEGIN ELECTA COURSES CALENDAR FORM -->
<iframe frameborder="0" width="500" height="500"
    src="https://YOUR_ELECTA_SITE_NAME.school-network.net/HTMLApi/HTMLCoursesCalendar?AffiliateId=9wpp17chzl">
</iframe>
<!-- END ELECTA COURSES CALENDAR FORM -->

An affiliate report is available which shows what customer leads have been created from each Affiliate for a specified time frame. The report is accessible from the "Affiliates Report" button.

You can do so by applying a color coat on these entries. Color coated events and courses appear with a different color in the calendars or the course catalogs.

To specify a color for a live sessions use the "color coating" check box on the Options page when creating your live event.

Similarly color can be applied to course catalog entries. You can do so at the time of setting up your course. The color coat option is located under the "Additional Course Settings" area.

Color-coated events and courses will also show up with a the respective color if published in public or embedded calendars and catalogs.

Discounts and Coupons

Electa LMS provides an option to give discounts through coupons to your students when purchasing paid events and live sessions as well as paid online courses.

You can create one or multiple coupons and distribute these codes to your students. Later at time of purchasing students can get discounts by filling in a coupon code.

To access this tool you must be logged on as an account administrator. Then click on Management > Discounts & Coupons from the main menu.

To create a new discount coupon click the Create button and fill in the new coupon details.

The coupon code can either be specified or auto generated. The description filed is to provide some descriptive information for your coupon. This is not visible to students.

Optionally you can specify a best-before date as well as a maximum number of times a coupon can be used. To create a time limited coupon just fill in a date and this coupon will not be valid past that date.

To limit the number of times a coupon can be used in total, fill in a number in the Maximum Times to Use field. Leaving it empty will not put any limits on the usage counter.

Finally you have two discount options to choose from - percentage or a fixed amount.

For coupons with a percentage discount the price will be reduced by that percentage. For instance a $100 price will be reduced to $90 if a 10% discount coupon is applied.

Respectively, a fixed amount coupon will reduce the price by that amount. For example, a $50 price will be reduced to $45 is $5 discount coupon is applied.

Important: fixed amount discount coupons applied to prices with a lower value will remove the necessity to purchase a subscription. For example - if a $50 coupon is applied to a price of $40 the resulting value will be brought down to $0 and the student will get the subscription free of charge.

To save the new discount coupon click Apply.

You can modify existing coupons using the red options button next to each coupon in the list.

A coupon which has reached its best before date or its usage counter has reached the maximum usage counter value will be automatically deactivated and placed in the Inactive list.

To permanently remove a coupon from the list use the red options button and click Delete.

For each online course you have a course creator (the user who created the course) and a leading teacher. The leading teacher has content writing permissions, which means he/she can create course topics, add resources etc. All account admins have this access by default.

For some courses however you may want to have more than one person (teacher) who can create content. Users who can create course content are called "Content Creators".

To assign content creators to a course follow the steps below once your course summary record is created.

Log on with administrative privileges. You must be logged on as an admin to be able to assign course content creators.

Click on Courses > Course Manager > Find your course in the courses list and click the Red options button.

Click on Manage Content Creators from the pop up menu.

This will open the Content Creators management page for the selected course.

Use the Add Teacher button to select users from your teacher's list. All users are added with a "View Only Access" by default.

You can elevate the access using the "Red" options button by setting it to "Create & Edit All Topics" or "Create & Edit Own Topics Only".

Sample Course Catalog Code Snippet

The course catalog code snippet looks like this. The code below is
just an example. Each code snippet is specific for each account. You can
get your own code snippet as explained above.

<!-- BEGIN ELECTA COURSES CALENDAR FORM -->
<iframe frameborder="0" width="500" height="500"
    src="https://YOUR_ELECTA_SITE_NAME.school-network.net/HTMLApi/HTMLCoursesThumbnailCatalog">
</iframe>
<!-- END ELECTA COURSES CALENDAR FORM -->

The course catalog widget will only list courses that are marked as "Show this course in published course catalogs and on the front page".
Please make sure to have course banners uploaded to your courses so that they appear as thumbnails.

Customizing the Catalog

You can customize your course catalog widget to fit on your website
by changing or adding some parameters. The catalog is displayed through a
standard iframe html element.

Setting Width & Height

You can change the width and height of the catalog by specifying respectively width and height values of the iframe tag. Example:

<!-- BEGIN ELECTA COURSES CALENDAR FORM -->
<iframe
frameborder="0" width="800" height="1000"
    src="https://YOUR_ELECTA_SITE_NAME.school-network.net/HTMLApi/HTMLCoursesThumbnailCatalog">
</iframe>
<!-- END ELECTA COURSES CALENDAR FORM -->

Adding a Search Box

You may want to enable course search option for your site visitors. To do so add the following parameter to the src value: showSearchBox=yes.

Example:

<!-- BEGIN ELECTA COURSES CALENDAR FORM -->
<iframe
frameborder="0" width="500" height="500"
    src="https://YOUR_ELECTA_SITE_NAME.school-network.net/HTMLApi/HTMLCoursesThumbnailCatalog?showSearchBox=yes">
</iframe>
<!-- END ELECTA COURSES CALENDAR FORM -->

Restricting Courses by Category

To restrict the catalog to display course belonging to certain course categories add the following parameter: CatIds=CAT1,CAT2,CAT3
. The parameter CatIds holds the IDs of the categories you would like
to show. Only courses belonging the listed categories will be displayed.

Example:

<!-- BEGIN ELECTA COURSES CALENDAR FORM -->
<iframe
frameborder="0" width="500" height="500"
    src="https://YOUR_ELECTA_SITE_NAME.school-network.net/HTMLApi/HTMLCoursesThumbnailCatalog?CatIds=CAT1,CAT2,CAT3">
</iframe>
<!-- END ELECTA COURSES CALENDAR FORM -->

In the example above CAT1, CAT2, CAT3 are the IDs of the respective
course categories as defined in your Course Categories list.

Displaying a Category Selector

To display a list of categories in a drop down-list add the following parameter to your src value: showCatSelector=yes.
If this is used with a combination of CatIds parameter only the
drop-down category selector will show only categories from the list
otherwise all course categories will be available in the drop-down.

Example:

<!-- BEGIN ELECTA COURSES CALENDAR FORM -->
<iframe
frameborder="0" width="500" height="500"
    src="https://YOUR_ELECTA_SITE_NAME.school-network.net/HTMLApi/HTMLCoursesThumbnailCatalog?showCatSelector=yes">
</iframe>
<!-- END ELECTA COURSES CALENDAR FORM -->

Setting a Language

The default language of the code snippet is the language that is set
as default on your account (See Account Settings > Look & Feel).
However you may want to have the widget displaying a different language.

To set the language of the widget add the lang parameter to the src value. The following languages are available: en-GB, en-US, es, fr, ar, it, pt, bg.

en-GB - will switch to English with dates/times displaying in as commonly accepted through out the UK.
en-US - will switch to English with dates/times displaying as commonly accepted in US.
es - Spanish
fr - French
ar - Arabic
it - Italian
pt - Portuguese
bg - Bulgarian
ru - Russian (coming soon)
el - Greek (coming soon)
cn - Chinese (coming soon)
de - German (coming soon)

Example: Setting Spanish Language

<!-- BEGIN ELECTA COURSES CALENDAR FORM -->
<iframe
frameborder="0" width="500" height="500"
    src="https://YOUR_ELECTA_SITE_NAME.school-network.net/HTMLApi/HTMLCoursesThumbnailCatalog?lang=es">
</iframe>
<!-- END ELECTA COURSES CALENDAR FORM -->

Specifying the Number of Columns

By default the snippet will display three columns and as many rows as necessary to show all your published courses. You can change the number of columns by forcing the snippet to display 1, 2, 3, 4 or 6 (5 or more than 6 columns are not supported).
To do so add an extra parameter colCount=X, where X can be 1, 2, 3, 4 or 6.

Example: Setting 4 columns.

<!-- BEGIN ELECTA COURSES CALENDAR FORM -->
<iframe
frameborder="0" width="500" height="500"
    src="https://YOUR_ELECTA_SITE_NAME.school-network.net/HTMLApi/HTMLCoursesThumbnailCatalog?colCount=4">
</iframe>
<!-- END ELECTA COURSES CALENDAR FORM -->

Combining Parameters

You can combine several parameters. For example:

<!-- BEGIN ELECTA COURSES CALENDAR FORM -->
<iframe
frameborder="0" width="500" height="500"
    src="https://YOUR_ELECTA_SITE_NAME.school-network.net/HTMLApi/HTMLCoursesThumbnailCatalog?showCatSelector=yes&showSearchBox=yes&lang=ar">
</iframe>
<!-- END ELECTA COURSES CALENDAR FORM -->
